The forests, fields, streams, and wetlands support a high diversity of native species of birds, mammals, insects and other species. It has been designated an Important Bird Area because of intact forests supporting Wood Thrush, Worm-eating Warbler, and other forest nesters. Mixed flocks of warblers pass through in waves during the Spring, with over 34 species having been recorded here. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded in the park overall.\n\n\n\nPlease read T ( https://www.linnaeannewyork.org/wp-content/uploads/PDF/LSNY-COVID-19-Guidelines-2021-06-20.pdf )he Linnaean Society of New York COVID-19 Field Trip Guidelines ( https://www.linnaeannewyork.org/covid-19-field-trip-guidelines/ ) before registering.\n\n\n\nRegistration: Registration: Registration opens at 9 am on Monday, May 11.
