Central Park Fall Migration Walk with Ken Chaya, Elijah Shiffer, and Kevin Sisco, 9/22/2026

Registrar: Steve Holleran
Participants: 39
Bird Species: 60

On a cool and misty morning, we set out in two groups and found 60 species of birds, including 18 species of warblers, two species of wrens, and some newly-arrived White-throated Sparrows. There was a swarm of hummingbirds in the jewelweed at Tupelo Meadow, and by late morning our groups converged in the Maintenance Meadow for extended views of a Yellow-throated Vireo and an all-too-brief appearance from a Connecticut Warbler.
