Birds & Brews: Brooklyn Gulls & Ducks (Bush Terminal Park)

Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026

Leader(s): Amanda Bielskas, Alan Drogan, Gillian Henry
Transportation: Public Transportation: Participants can use public transportation to arrive at the meeting location.
Meeting Point: Bush Terminal Park
Schedule: We will start at the main parking lot and walk along the shoreline scanning for birds. After the walk, we will adjourn to Industry City to warm up with snacks and beverages.
Relative Difficulty:  Fairly easy, with a mix of paved paths and some grass/gravel paths. Walking about 1-2 miles, may stand in one place for a while. Might be cold and windy, dress for the weather.

Trip Description: We are expanding our Birds & Brews walks into Brooklyn! This walk will start later in the morning so we can tour Brooklyn Terminal Park for winter waterfowl and gulls! The duration might be a bit weather dependent, but we will aim for about a 2 hour walk. After the walk we will head to the nearby Industry City to warm up with some libations and conversations.
