The Linnaean Society of New York

Spring Migration in Central Park’s North End

Date: Sunday, April 28, 2024 — THE TRIP IS FULL

Leader: Ursula Mitra
Public Transportation: (The exact meeting place and time will be shared with attendees after their registration is confirmed.)
Schedule: Start in the early morning and bird until early afternoon.
Relative difficulty: Expect to walk about two miles on paved and unpaved paths, with some moderate inclines.

Central Park is one of the world’s premier birding spots, especially during spring and fall migrations. On a good day we’ll see warblers, sparrows, vireos, and other migrants. On this walk we will explore numerous birding hotspots of Central Park’s North End with long-time birder Ursula Mitra, who knows these areas very well.

Please read The Linnaean Society of New York COVID-19 Field Trip Guidelines before registering.

Please read the About Our Trips page, especially if you’re going on a field trip for the first time. It details our field trip policies, recommends what to bring on a trip, and offers other useful information.
